An informative and enjoyable one day workshop run by Olicana Mosaics at Horticap near RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Harrogate.
Level: This is intended for those who have little or no experience of making mosaic.
The objective of the workshop is to complete laying a small mosaic from a selection of Greek/Roman designs provided. Each person will create a mosaic within a softwood frame to take away.
The following techniques will be covered:
- How to cut and lay tiles
- How to use tile nippers
- An indirect process of mosaic making
Participants will need to wear comfortable clothing and bring an apron; tools and saftey equipment will be provided.
All materials will be supplied and are included in the cost.
Tea, coffee and cold drinks will be available, however, we suggest you bring a packed lunch as time is limited.
