We design and produce work inspired by classical Greek and Roman mosaics, as well as creating contemporary pieces for a wide range of interior and exterior applications including; conservatories, swimming pools, garden features, flooring and mirrors.
We use traditional methods, tools and materials, as well as taking advantage of modern materials and technologies. Hand cut tiles can be as small as 4mm square, which give many of our pieces their distinctive level of detail and complexity.
Both of us have Art and Design qualifications, and over 20 years commercial experience in the creative industry.
We have trained in Ravenna, Italy, to learn the traditional Byzantine methods of mosaic making, in marble and Venetian Smalti. David has recently trained with Maggy Howarth in the art of producing both direct and indirect pebble mosaics, for exterior applications.
Most of our is a result of private commissions from the UK and abroad. In addition we do make a number of smaller pieces and ready mades which are available for sale.
We run adult mosaic workshops, which are very popular with those new to mosaic, as those with a little more experience.
Our children's mosaic workshops at The Manor House in Ilkey and RHS Harlow Carr were very successful and well attended, even some of the parents had a go.
We also produce work for exhibitions in the UK and internationally.
